When the Beauty Addiction Building, the only holdout of the old Bayard Street went down a few months ago, there was some collateral damage. As we noted, it took some chunks out of its next door neighbor 20 Bayard. Repair work is now underway, though, meaning that all that nice brickwork on the exterior of one of the masterworks of Karl Fischer Row won't be falling off.· The Karl Fischer Row Report [Curbed]

What the fuck. This Building is an abomination. A total insult. This has got to be the ugliest piece of shit i have ever lied my eyes on. Reminds me of the worst construction in miami like their new Hilton. Wonder who built that one?
What about light? What will be the impact on what little park we have here in Brooklyn.
Come on Marty Markowitz help us out over here you going to let this project squash artMovingProjects. What is another art gallery?

Maybe it would be better for luxury car condos rather than just straight luxury condos. $300k a spot! For just bare concrete and an elevator! You don't even have to order Sub-Zeros.

The owner of that building is as stupid as they come. He could have made a lot of money for nothing by selling that decrepit building to the developers of the surrouning properties. Now those buildings are constructed, the zoning laws have changed, and he is probably screwed. Oh well, hope he figured out something good to do with the land.

. . . and the low windows get walled off before the buildings are even occupied.

The deal is, they're about to get Scaranoed.

The owner really blew it. They let the property become cut off by developments on both sides.

I wonder if the new buildings secured air rights? They have side windows.

Imangine buying on a low floor 3rd - 5 and think you have a side window.

You now have everyone in the building saying, thank god I wasn't that dumb.

i think that dude is as smart as they come. he will have a nice big building with rental income that he can keep forever and if he ever wants to sell it will be worth way more than those developers were offering. also, he gets to cover up those lot-line windows on scaranos dumbkopft tower- imagine buying a low floor apartment and thinking you have a side window!!!

did anyone see the smashed out windows on the first floor of the building next to the tall one this Sunday? Looks like someone isn't ready for the new neighbors to move in.
