Red Oak (click on image to enlarge)This is the second Red Oak planted on Block Island. I built this structure out out drift wood to protect it from the deer, but on visiting it last weekend, the grass had grown so quickly that the sunlight was cut off and it's growth was severely stunted. I would say it is about 2" high.
