Bristle cone Pine in homemade pixel pot
 So this was not grown from seed it is probably about 4 years old. Maybe even 5 as they grow so slowly, the trunk is 3/4" thick. It is outside for the winter and hopefully it will take to it's new environment. I have read that this type of conifer is adverse to pollution so half a year in Brooklyn may kill it, but it will go out of town over the summer for a little fresh air. As the longest living thing on the the earth i will keep my fingers crossed for a long life for this high elevation desert transplant.
